City conference gets marketing support from CODE
Twelve`s Company, who run the city of Plymouth`s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) has recently tasked CODE to develop a visual identity, conference material, a series of event banners, folders and various other promotional materials for a three day conference held at the University of Plymouth.
The brief to the design team at CODE was to produce hard hitting graphics in line with the seriousness of the subject.
Director Martine Cotter said "Just wanted to let you know that the banner and delegate packs went down a storm"
Part of the impetus for the series of meetings and seminars was the city`s poor detection and conviction rate for sex offences. Last June police admitted its detection rate for sexual offences was just 13 per cent, well below the 30 per cent target.
The aim of the event was to bring together all the many organisations, statutory bodies and volunteer groups tackling sexual violence in the city.
Representatives of the police`s new Sexual Offences Investigation Team attended along with the Crown Prosecution Service, the Probation Service, Plymouth City Council, the Community Safety Partnership, Victim Support, specialist rape counsellors, child and adult psychologists, Independent Sexual Violence Advisors, Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service, the Harbour Centre, Derriford Hospital staff.
